How to use this add in: This program helps you create an appointment that will take place in a different timezone, or one that is being set based on a different timezone (like a phone conference being set by someone on another timezone). First, create the appointment as if it was being set in your current timezone. For example, if you are in Dallas, and somebody in NYC is inviting you to a meeting in NYC at 3pm on September 20th, create the appointment at 3pm on September 20th. After you have saved your appointment, tap-and-hold it (you can also select the "Change Appt Timezone" option from your Tools menu, but this sometimes causes a "No appointment selected" error message, so the tap-and-hold option is recommended) and choose "Change Appt Timezone" from the pop up menu. A dialog will open with a list of all the cities in your Pocket Outlook database. The default selected appointment will be either your "Home" or "Visiting" city (as set in your "World Clock" application), whichever is not your current location. Thus, if you are in your "Home" city at the moment, the default will be your "Visiting" city, and vice-versa.After you click OK, the appointment will have shifted to the appropiate time given your current location. Also, at the beginning of the location for the appointment, the airport code and local time for the appointment will be displayed (like [NYC 15:00] in the example above). If you do travel to the destination where the appointment takes place, and change to this location in "World Clock", the appointment will show at the time it takes place locally. |

September 20th Ipaq users: On September I updated the ARM version because it was not installing on Ipaqs. I think I found the error and it should be working now. If you had problems installing the version and you downloaded on or before September 20 then download the updated version and give it a try. Send me an email if you're still experiencing problems. |
